0:00Someone just open-sourced an entire AI newsroom that runs on only $5 a month. That's five bucks a month for not just some toy demo. Let me break it down. This thing monitors five different news sources around the clock, uses AI to curate the best stories, and auto-publishes everything with no human in the loop. So, let me back it up a little bit because I think this is a really important for where we are headed and to give you a point of view on how this could be useful for some of your AI automations. So, this guy, Jacob, he goes by JacobBD on GitHub, and he just dropped this recent repo called OpenClaw Newsroom. Pretty cool. And when I first saw it, I was like, "Okay, cool, another

0:45automation project, of course." But, then I actually looked at it and what it was, and holy moly guac, we got some amazing things in here. This thing has five data source monitors running 24/7. It's scanning Reddit non-stop. It's scanning news sites. It's pulling from RSS feeds. It's checking social media, and all that happened automatically on the fly. Like I said, with no human intervention. Then Gemini Flash comes in and does the editorial creation. Gemini Flash is a great large language model that helps save on token costs and does a lot of these lower-end smaller jobs very, very well. So, it's not just scraping everything and dumping it. It's an AI that actually reads the articles and decides what's worth publishing. It

1:31will write summaries, and then it formats everything. And the whole thing only costs $5 a month to run, which is insane. So, here's why I think it matters so much. I actually run something similar with my own setup. I have an agent called GhostFace that is more of like the trend, you know, automation that runs at 5:00 a.m. every morning in the AI niche. So, it goes out, it scans tooblab, which is a integration for YouTube, and it scrapes the trends, and it checks what's also happening on X, and it also pulls data from Reddit, Hacker News, and then it puts together an Intel report that my next agent runs off of and generates a lot of the content around. So, every single morning before I even wake up at 5:00 a.m., it's already got the daily trends loaded in my mission control

2:16dashboard. So, when I saw this newsroom project, I immediately recognized the pattern, and this is what we're building inside of the Shipping School community. Is automations just like this. Real quick, before we keep going, if you're watching this and you want to actually build with some of these tools, not just watch videos about them, then you're going to want to check out our community down below, Shipping School. We [music] have a full Cloud Code course, a full Open Claw course, and four live bootcamps every single week, where we actually help you get set up from scratch. Like, actually set this thing up, not just watch a tutorial and figure it out by yourself. And we also provide one-on-one coaching, so you can book a call with me, we can share screens, and I can help you get Cloud Code or Open Claw running on your machine. That's it,

3:02no fluff. I built this community because watching YouTube's only gets you so far. We launched it just 3 days ago, and we have over 55 members. You need people around you who are actually building, people who hold you accountable, and coaches who can help you when you get stuck. I'll put the link in the description down below. Get in now before the price goes up. So, let me break down the architecture for a minute. It's not overly complex. It's something that someone with a non-technical background can certainly build. And it's to give you a little bit more understanding on how exactly this works. So, layer one is basically just a simple data collection, five different source monitors, each one watching a different feed. And they're not just checking it once a day and calling it quits. These things basically run on

3:48intervals, so really nothing slips through the cracks. Layer two is the AI curation. So, this is where Gemini Flash comes in and I think it's really smart because Gemini Flash is insanely cheap. If you look on Open Router right now, it's one of the cheapest models to run and it's very good. You don't need the most expensive model for curation. You need something that can read fast, make decisions, and keep the cost down. $5 a month means he's being incredibly efficient with the API calls. The third layer is publishing pipeline. So, once the AI decisions and So, once the AI decides a story is worth covering, it formats everything and then publishes it automatically. No human intervention, no human in the loop. That is pretty cool. So, here's where I want to get real with

4:34y'all for a second because I see a lot of people talking about AI automation and most of it is more theoretical. Most of it is like, "Oh, you could do this. You could build this out, whatever." But, Jacob, this guy, on published it on GitHub and made it public that this is what's being built. Here's the proof. This is what actually was put on GitHub and you could clone it right now and have your own AI newsroom running tonight. This is what separates the builders from the talkers. You know, anyone can say that they're going to automate something and actually, you know, shipping it is a big difference. Like, you could talk about it or you could ship it. They're two different things. So, I'm going to talk to you about how this connects to what I'm doing because I think it's really the parallel is really interesting from my setup to what this person has produced. The setup behind me runs on the Mac Mini

5:20and it sits here on my desk and we have 12 agents running on cron jobs every single day. So, we have a whole Wu-Tang agent pipeline that handles the content creation, scraping the trends, cutting the long-form into clips, reaching out to people on podcast guests, sending cold email outreach, cold DMs to real estate agents on Instagram. We have newsletter, blog, the landing page, all of it being handled by all these agents. Also, we just put in a feedback loop. So, whenever an agent makes mistakes, it learns from those mistakes and it gets better every single week. So, I pull my X content, I pull my content on YouTube through the API, and it does this feedback loop on what titles perform well, on what thumbnails perform well, what performs bad to not do that again,

6:06and as well as my X account, it looks at what hooks did well, what hooks didn't do well, and it's a constant feedback loop. So, these agents get better with time. This is what's included in the content machine that I just released. You could leave I have it linked down below. You could check it out. If you're looking to build out a content pipeline, that's what I have established. It's plug and play to get your content automated for whatever you're trying to build. And all this runs automatically. This is all customizable as well. That is all in the content machine and it runs 24/7. The total cost for my entire pipeline is a way less than hiring even one person part-time in Vietnam to manage all of this. So, basically, it's pennies on the dollar. Way less than any of those expensive SaaS tools that

6:52promise to do the same exact thing. So, it comes to mind like Opus Clips. It's like $20 a month. I built that out and I pay maybe $5 a month and I have hundreds of clips being generated every week. So, I've got 71 members inside of our Shipping School community right now who are learning to build exactly these kind of AI automations. And some of them are already doing incredible things with a non-tech background. Like George, one of our members. He sells medical devices, $50,000 to $200,000 microscopes. He used to manually search grant sites for hours looking for leads. Now, he built an AI agent to do that already. Same concept as this newsroom, but applied into sales intel. Or Dustin, who does real estate

7:37title research, incredibly intensive work building family trees to find the heirs. He's building an agent to be the expert title researcher and to do this without him. Same pattern, AI doing the heavy lifting while the human focuses on the high-value decisions. This is what I mean when I say we're living in amazing time if you like building things. You don't need a team of developers, you don't need a content creation specialist, you don't need venture capital. You need basically that dusty old laptop sitting in your corner, open claw, an API key, and the willingness to learn. Keep an open mind. That's it, plain and simple. Now, I know some of you are thinking, "But oh, but I'm not technical. I don't know how to read TypeScript. I don't know what a hook command is, what a PR request is." It's

8:22okay, you don't need to know any of that. And that's exactly why Shipping School exists, and we have a community built around this. We take you from zero to one as fast as possible to get your AI agents actually running. Step-by-step, four calls a week, no courses where we just have you watch it and go, "All right, have fun. See you later." There are courses in there, but I'm more focused on the hands-on learning in the live calls. Real building, real people, real projects, and real results. So, if you're sitting on the sidelines right now and you have the itch to build something, this video should be your sign to make the leap of faith. Get building. You don't need a community, just start. Just break a few things inside of Cloud Code and you'll figure it out yourself. It might take you more time, but at least you're starting. An AI newsroom for $5 a month,

9:07I mean, come on. An entire content pipeline running on a desk. These aren't hypotheticals anymore. These are things that we're actually seeing be built. And with Meta laying off 16,000 employees today, that should also be another sign that this space is in in an interesting spot and headed in a crazy direction. That's why I'm so passionate about telling people they need to learn AI and AI skills. Otherwise, who knows where you'll be. You could either choose to pick up the tools and work with them or not. And I don't know what to tell you, but I would say choose the first option. Start building, start working with things, start taking your idea from the unseen and make it seen, and that's why we're so passionate about talking about building in public and showing you what we're actually building. So, if you want

9:53to be around a community of builders, check out the link below. We'd love to have you there, and we'd love to get your project started. And if you haven't subscribed already, we're releasing about four to six videos every single day. Hit the notification icon for the next time we release a video, and we'll see you guys in the next one. Have a blessed day.
