00If you are using open claw, then you're going to need to pay attention to this latest update because this latest 4.1 update is massive and packed with tons of features that going to be useful for running your AI agent system. Because here's what happened. My entire agent pipeline broke yesterday. All 17 agents died and the fix that came in this update would have prevented the entire problem. So this update 4.1 is insane. Basically my whole content pipeline runs through open claw, which is why it would have saved me this headache. You know, yesterday was crazy. Anthropic had a huge outage and their API was getting hammered, people were getting rate limited, people hitting usages a lot faster, right? And here's what

46specifically happened to my setup. Maybe it is relevant to you if you're running something similar with AI agents on open claw. Like my agents would try to call Claude, right? And then they would get rate limited. They would retry and just keep retrying and nothing would happen. It would be the same API call over and over again, just beating a head against the wall, right? And now I've got open AI configured as that fallback option. You know, it's actually plug and play ready to go right now, running my whole system. But open claw kept trying the Anthropic API because it hadn't hit the internal retry cap limit yet. So all 17 agents just sat there failing for hours at a time. Scripts wouldn't get written, thumbnails didn't get generated, nothing on X was going out, the whole pipeline was broken. But here's where that 4.1

33update comes in if you ever experience this. They added smarter rate limit failover. So there's a new config knob called rate limit profile rotations. And what it does is it caps at how many times open claw will retry the same provider before it switches to the next one in your fallback chain. So instead of hammering Anthropic 10 times and then giving up, it tries maybe two, maybe three times and then it sees the rate limit and then it immediately falls over to open AI if that's what you're using as your failover option. And that's it. That's the fix. That would have saved me hours. And if I had this yesterday, the whole pipeline would have just kept running. The scripts would have been on autopilot, the thumbnails would have been great. You know, and I would have been much happier, right? And that's

18what prompted me to move most of our cron jobs over to 5.4 anyway, just to save the Claude OAuth token budget. But the whole point is is the work that would have gone undone instead of just failing so silently is all fixed in this latest update. You know, when you're running 17 AI agents and your whole content operation depends on them, reliability isn't optional. This is a huge deal, especially people who are selling agents as a service. So we have 181 members in our school community right now and they're watching me build this thing in public. And when the pipeline goes down, it's just not an inconvenience, it's me not delivering. So this failover fix is insane. This is the kind of update that actually matters to operators like me and not just a

03shiny new feature. It's just making the whole work when stuff goes wrong and making it right, which I think is pretty cool. Real quick, before we keep going, if you're watching this and you want to actually build with some of these tools and not just watch videos about them, then you're going to want to check out our community down below, Shipping School. We have a full Claude code course, a full open claw course, and four live bootcamps every single week where we actually help you get set up from scratch. [music] Like actually set this thing up, not just watch a tutorial and figure it out by yourself. And we also provide one-on-one coaching, so you could book a call with me, we could share screens, and I can help you get Claude code or open claw running on your machine. That's it, no fluff. I built this

48community because watching YouTube's only gets you so far. We launched it just 3 days ago and we have over 55 members. You need people around you who are actually building, people who hold you accountable, and coaches who can help you when you get stuck. I'll put the link in the description down below. Get in now before the price goes up. So the second biggest update in 4.1 is the {slash} task command and this one I've been waiting for for a while. So when you're running multiple agents in the background, whether it's a cron job or sub agents doing the coding work, whatever it is, you used to have to go check your cron's run history manually. Or you'd have to look at the logs and try to figure out what was running and what finished. It was a huge pain. And now all you have to do is run {forward slash} task in your chat and it shows

33every every background task you're running in your current session, what it's doing, how long it's been going, the status. It's like a little mission control dashboard right into your chat window. For me, this is a big one because I have agents kicking off starting at 5:00 a.m. all throughout the day, you know, and they can run for 15 minutes, 20 minutes. For example, like Raekwon, he handles our 5:00 p.m. benchmark posts. And there's a lot happening and sometimes it fails. I'd be able to just run this task command and know exactly why it failed and what the problem was. Before this, I'd have to, you know, go into the logs and figure out what was stuck and see if it was still running or if it finished an hour ago. Just running the {forward slash} task command is going to be really

18helpful, really simple addition. You know, it even has an agent local fallback count, so that's pretty cool. If there's no linked task visible, it still shows how many things your agent has been working on. So you're never totally in the dark. That's a really cool little feature. The third thing, and this is the one that's driving people crazy, the gateway hanging fix. So in the previous version of 3.31 just came out yesterday, some people were experiencing their gateway freezing up about a minute after startup. And the cause was the task registry sweep. It was stalling the event loop over and over again. So your gateway would start up fine, everything would look good, and then about 60 seconds later it would stop responding. No errors, no crash, it

03would just freeze. So if you're experienced that, you know how frustrating that was. You're sitting there restarting your gateway over and over trying to figure out what exactly is going on. I was pulling my hair out, going crazy over this, thought it was just me, but then people in our community were also experiencing the same issues. The fix is in 4.1 now. That task registry sweep no longer blocks the event loop and it runs in the background properly now. So your gateway just starts up and stays up. So which is kind of what you'd expect it to do. But crazy, that was super annoying and just thought it was my problem. The fourth thing is the cron tool allow list and this is a security one, so you can now add a tools flag when you set up a cron job. And what this does is restrict what tools that specific cron job can access.

50So let's say you have an agent that only needs to read files and search the web. You can lock it down to these tools. It can't exact commands, but it can't write to your database, it can't do anything outside you're explicitly allow, which is nice. Gives you more control. Why does this even matter? So if you're running agents as a service, which is where the whole industry is headed anyways, you need to be able to trust that your agents aren't going to do something unexpected, especially when they're running cron jobs at 5:00 a.m. when you're asleep. So I have 17 cron jobs running throughout the day and I trust my setup, but the ability to lock each one down to only the tools it actually needs is just a good best practices. It's like giving each employee a key that only opens the doors

37they need to open, not the master key to the whole building. So for the whole Wu-Tang pipeline specifically, this means I can make sure Ghostface only has search and database access and the RZA only gets database and file access. Inspectah Deck only gets Postbridge API tool and the database. Each agent gets exactly what it needs and nothing more. That is proper security. The fifth one is raw errors no longer leak into chat channels. So before this fix, if a provider threw an error, sometimes the raw error message would show right up in your chat. Like the full API error response from Anthropic or open AI just dumped into your conversation, which it looks terrible. If you're running a bot in Discord or a Telegram group, your users don't need to see error 429 too

24many requests with a bunch of JSON. No, thanks. Now it just shows a friendly retry message instead. Clean, professional, the error still gets logged in the back end where you could see it, but it doesn't show up in the chat anymore. This is one of those polished things that makes a big difference when you're running agents that interact with each other and other people. So my bot docks to people in our Telegram group, so it would be pretty embarrassing if it started spitting out new raw API errors in the middle of our conversation. Weird. The sixth thing is the {forward slash} model command now queues behind busy runs. So before, if you changed your model with the {forward slash} model command while an agent was in the middle of doing something, it would just interrupt the current run, which would cause all kinds of weird

09behavior issues, partial completions, lost context, that kind of thing. Now when you switch models, it waits for the current run to finish and then applies the change. Much cleaner. If you're struggling to keep up with content, well, I'm about to save you about 40 days worth of work. I built something called content machine. It's 10 AI agents that run on the open claw orchestration and they handle everything. Scripts, thumbnails, X posts, blogs, outreach, clips, [music] newsletters, all of it. So I went from 1,000 subscribers to 4,000 subscribers on YouTube in 7 days using this exact system. Every single morning I wake up and the content's already done. I spend maybe 15, 20 minutes reviewing and approving them and I move on with my my

55It works for any niche, [music] fitness, finance, real estate, marketing, whatever you are building and it is 100% completely customizable to your use case. So, you get the mission control dashboard, all of the cron jobs, everything I've built over the last 40 days helping me gain more and more people to subscribe and join the community. So, you plug in your own thing and it molds it to you, it learns how you talk and it writes [music] so it doesn't sound like AI slop. $97 one time. It's not a subscription. I'll put the link down below and you'll thank me later. This sounds like a small thing, but if you've ever accidentally switched models while the sub agent was actually doing a coding task, you know the pain that you went through, right? So, the agent's halfway through a writing a file

40and suddenly it's on a different model with different capabilities. Not great. Now, it just queues up, it finishes the task and waits just like how it should, right? So, these are the six things I think matter most in this latest update. I'm going to do a quick recap because if you were have a functioning open claw setup and there's nothing in this update that pertains to you, I would stay on the current model. So, the main thing is smarter rate limit failover. I think that could be useful for most people out there. That would have saved my entire pipeline yesterday. The forward {slash} task command for seeing all of your background work, gateway hanging fix so your gateway actually stays running, cron tool allow list for proper security, clean error handling in chat channels, and model switching that doesn't interrupt the active work. So,

26if you're running agents in production, this is a really solid update. It's not flashy. There are no crazy new features that's going to blow your mind, but it is the kind of release that makes the platform more reliable, more stable, which what we need in our life when it comes to open claw. And when you're depending on this thing to actually run your business, reliability is the main thing that keeps your system running. So, we went from zero to over $15,000 in revenue in 27 days using open claw. Shipping school went from zero to 182 members in 18 days and all of that was built with open claw. These agents run every single day. So, when they ship an update that makes the whole system more stable, that matters to me. That's not just a change log entry. That's my business working when things go wrong.

12And if you want to see how we set this all up and how you can apply it to your niche, the whole Wu-Tang pipeline, how I run 17 AI agents on a Mac mini, how we got 182 members inside of a community 18 days. We do eight live calls a week now and we've got build labs, boot camp builds, beginners hour. We got our shipping roast session. We also have a how to get your first customers call that happens every Saturday. And we're not just talking about these things, we're actually making progress building with AI. We're, you know, even though talking's fun, I want the whole goal in the community is to help you actually build a product and get it out into production to get paying users. So, that's why we do eight boot camp calls a week to be able to meet you where you're at, you know, throughout the day. So, if you're building with AI and you want to

57be part of this movement and maybe you have an idea that you just don't know how to make happen, I'll put the link to the community down below. Open claw 4.1 back-to-back releases in the last two days. The community is moving really fast and the platform just keeps getting better with every version. Go update if you need to, like if you're on 3.31 and your gateway has been freezing, that's probably time to update. Or if you hit the Anthropic outage like I did yesterday, go set up the rate limit failover config so you can get your mission control and your AI agents running no matter what services are out. It's a few lines in your open claw JSON and it will save you next time when it comes to these usage outages. So, I want to mention real quick, they also added voice wake on macOS. I know it's not a

43huge thing, but you can now say, "Hey open claw." and it triggers talk mode. Hands-free so you don't have to type anything. You just talk to your agent like you're talking to a person in the room. I haven't set that up yet because I use whisper flow. That's just my natural thing that I used and I've been using it for over a year now, but this is cool that they implemented this if you're not using whisper flow. Um, I will try it out just to see how it compares, but I think whisper is probably one of the best uh voice dictation softwares out there. That is just a simple quality of life improvement that is, you know, happening in this open claw ecosystem. Not everyone wants to pay for a whisper flow uh subscription. So, I've been building in public for over a year now and we started shipping school just recently. Things are growing. YouTube revenue just crossed 1,400. Claw mark sales just

29crossed $4,000. Coaching has just crossed $1,000 and it's all powered on AI agents running on open claw. Come join the community if you want to build out these type of systems to apply to your niche. We'll help you out. You know, that's the model release 4.1 and that's what we teach inside of shipping school on how to apply some of these newest updates. You don't need a Mac mini to run this by the way. You just need a dusty old laptop in the corner to get going. Updates like 4.1 are what make these kind of features really cool and really helpful for people that are building in open claw. You know, when the system is more reliable, you can trust it more. And when you can trust it, you can build on top. So, if you're thinking about getting into this and you've been sitting on the sidelines watching other people build with AI, now's the time. The tools are getting better every week, the community is getting stronger around it, and you

15don't have to figure it out alone. If you haven't subscribed to the channel already, please do. I release videos like this four to six times every day. We'll see in the next one. Have a blessed day.
