00One of the questions I get the most is, "How can I implement AI into my reselling business so I can become a better reseller?" Well, in this video, we're going to be walking you through a simple process that you could do today to become a better reseller to just make better datadriven decisions. So, very simple step-by-step process. We're going to be using Claude AI project feature to upload all the data and then we're going to analyze that data. So you can take this blueprint and run with it. So obviously you've been hearing so much talk about AI, it's probably overwhelming. So let's break this down into a simple stepbystep process that you could do even if you have no experience using a computer. So you're

46going to go to cloud.ai and you're going to sign up for an account. It's just $20 a month, but I guarantee you it's going to be a great return on investment. In this, you're basically going to have your own personalized business analyst to help you grow your resale business. Like, come on, who doesn't want that? So, that is why I'm using Claude. I believe it's one of the best uh large language models out there to help you analyze tons of data. So, once you get a subscription and then you get access to the projects tab, you're going to create a new project. This is where we're going to be basically building out our analyst to help us process the information to make good decisions. So, what are we

31working on? The project we will just call eBay business advice. Name it whatever you'd like. This will work for Poshmark. This will work for whatnot. This will work for any type of business. But let's just stick with eBay here. So, I am trying to achieve and I use the the voiced option. I don't know if you have that. It just helps me kind of just put my ideas into text quickly. So, uh I use Whisper Flow. Uh check that out if you want to speak to AI or just have a voice to text feature that's just a lot more simple rather than typing out stuff. Uh that's going to save you a lot of time in the long run if you do use AI a lot. So, what are we trying to achieve? I want to build out a business

17analyst for my eBay resell business. I want to get input and advice on making datadriven decisions based on sales history. So that automatically populates and we're going to create the project. So this is exciting, amazing. So quick overview. Um after you do that, you are then now in your project. So I think then some things to set it up is you want to give it some pro uh project instructions. This is just going to be able to help refine the model so it can give you the best advice possible. So I am going to actually jump back into another claude chat and have it write the project instructions for me because it's going to do a heck of a lot better job than I can. So set project

04instructions. Let's just go to another chat box and ask Claude to write some project instructions for creating an eBay advice chatbot. So, I need set project instructions for this new project I am creating. Can you write me some project instructions that would help analyze my eBay data to make me a better reseller? Boom. While that's populating, I have been using this type of way to analyze my business for the last six months. It's helping me become more clear in my business. It's helping me create a vision and business planning and things

49I should be buying and things I should avoid biting buying. You're going to get like a second pair of eyes to help guide you your business. So, maybe you're struggling with slow sales or sourcing inventory or figuring out the best way to do your listings. This is going to be a great addition to what you're already doing um with minimal effort as well. So, you could download this app on your phone as well and chat with it via voice. That's something we've been doing a lot with uh recently with other projects that we're working on. And I tell you y'all, th this might have not existed a year ago, but if you're not using AI in your business with reselling or whatever business you're doing, it's going to be very difficult to compete against the people that are implementing it into their business. So, that's why

35we're going to be talking about it more on the channel and being able to just help you take the next step in your business. Um, I wanted to keep a very basic uh tutorial for you so you can apply this today. So you can see after it got done with the request the set project instructions you can see here on the right hand side it did a very extensive road mapap for the project uh instructions it says these project instructions will help claude provide focus actionable analysis tailored specifically to your reselling business. So very cool. So, we're going to copy paste that um into our Claude project instructions. And now we have a blueprint um kind of like building the brain up, right? So, product knowledge.

22I have downloaded last year's sales data from eBay and um I'm also going to take screenshots of this as well, but it's really cool. Um, you could download your listing sales report. You could download your uh sales by category as a uh CSV. And then somewhere, I forget where, but your listing quality report should go in this as well. Let me look for that. Okay. So, I don't know if they removed that feature recently, but I have an old listing quality report from last year that I can actually upload into the knowledge base. So, I'm going to go ahead and drag and drop that into the

07product knowledge section of your project. So, once that's done, I have a two other things that I have to upload. The first one being the eBay listing sales report. Um, let's do that. And then let's see what else. We want to grab the data. Let's see. Performance sales. We want to go to last year. And we could do this. You could do this monthly, whatever you want to do. Yearly. Um, let's see. It's okay, there we go. Gener generate report. And then we're going to want to download this report, listing sales report, and then upload that into uh the Claude

53projects um knowledge base. And that way we can have a lot more concrete data. Once that is done and uploaded, uh you'll see it here. Let's see. Listing sales report. Okay, we got that uploaded already. And now we could basically let's upload some screenshots too. So we can because it can read the data in the screenshots as well. Okay. Some other things that you want to download are your download all sales by category as CSV. And then you're also going to want to download um down below here uh download listing sales report. Um you could choose either one. This is just going to give it more data to be a little bit more helpful on

40guiding us in our resale business. Right. So let's see. Let's do the last one and then I'm going to upload those screenshots as well. Oh, let's see. Want to see if I can even do that. Uh, okay. Boom. Boom. Boom. Open. All right. Okay. So, now, um, you're able to just chat with that knowledge base. It has some direction in the product knowledge. So, let's see. Um, let's just start with the real basic one. What are some of my top sellers in my eBay business? My cost of goods is

26around $5 per item. Give me a breakdown. What should I be focusing on? What should I be avoiding? Make a graph for me in an easy to understand way. Simple. Simple. Easy to use. I think everyone should be using this feature whether it's in your resell business or whatever business you're trying to accomplish. Start using AI and leveraging AI to make better decisions to become more clear in your business to become more clear in what you're trying to accomplish. It's not going to hurt. It's not going to help or it's not going to hurt it and it's not going to take up too much more of your time. You're actually going to find out that it's going to save you a lot more time than figuring it all out by yourself. Right?

11So, it's going to analyze. It's probably going to take between 5 minutes, 7 minutes to just take all that data and give us a breakdown in an easy to understand graph. I really love doing this because I get more clarity in my whatnot business. Things were jumbled, especially when we first started. It's like analyzing the numbers, figuring out what's working, what's not. It just took so much time doing this manually, you know, figuring it out in a spreadsheet and and doing all that. Now I could take all the data, feed it to AI, and it could just give me an analysis on what I should be doing in my business. And while that's processing, I have a link down below where we teach all this stuff for free. So if you need help integrating AI into your business or you want to learn about how to use these AI

57tools so you can learn and grow faster, check it out. It's free. We do these classes every week. The first one's starting this week here in about six days after our whatnot Q&A. But you can check out our community, 1400 members, a lot of resources in here. If you don't even want to learn about AI, but you have tax questions or any questions in in general related to reselling, lots of um knowledgeable people here that have been reselling for years that can help you grow your business. We have a classroom, couple courses in there. We have weekly calls, bi-weekly calls. We'd love to see how we can help your business. No obligation. Check it out. link down below. Sometimes when you are analyzing so much

42data, Claude will prompt you saying, "This response paused because Claude reached its max length for a message. Hit continue to nudge Claude along." So, make sure you check back in in your project. This has been kind of running in the background for the last 5 minutes. So, you just want to make sure you hit continue so it can continue to process all the information. And as it's working through what you're trying to have it analyze, you could see here it's going through all of the data that you have just uploaded. So, this has been running for at least 7 minutes now. Like I said, go get a cup of coffee, go out, let it run in the background, and so far it's it's pumping some stuff out. So, I'm going to be interested on what it says. I think we

27gave it a pretty complex task, which is why it's taking a while. But it could be as simple as something like, you know, um seeing what your best sellers were or maybe seeing stuff that sat in your inventory too long that you should avoid. Uh it's just going to be really nice to have this at your fingertips. Um and also keep in mind it will have errors. It I mean it's not perfect, but it it's going to help you at least, you know, get a little bit more clarity in your business. So you can see there might be some messing around you got to do, but let's see. Key insights from your eBay data analysts or analysis based on your sales data with $5 cost of goods per item. That's not 100% accurate. I just gave it a rough ballpark estimate um on my cost of goods

15and you should do the same. You know, be very detailed on your tracking for what you're paying for your items. So that way you could plug that number in. This was just kind of a rough estimate to get the ball rolling. Um, here are the critical findings. The top performers from the data we uploaded from 2024 was uh Los Angeles Dodgers hat. We sold 10 units, $88 profit with a 63.8% profit margin. Judy blue jeans, various styles, consistent three to four unit sales with 79 to 82% margins. Nike accessories, backpacks, hoodies are performing well. The most profitable individual items were a Gucci cross body bag that we bought uh that was actually from the storage unit from years ago that sold for $260. Laura Piana suit designer

01outerwear stars are Lululemon, Judy Blueue, luxury brands. So it just gives you some good insight, different clarity on the data that you would upload it. You could start by month by month, week by week, however you want to do. Um, it also can put it into visual charts so you can just see it better if you are a visual learner. So it said avoid or limit these low profit carart only $468 cents average profit basic Colombia items generic no-name brands obviously low-end items under 20 bucks that sell for under 20 bucks maybe items with high shipping costs so heavy and they eat into the margins. So strategic recommendations for our business. Double

46down on Lululemon with 16.89 average profit per item. You should be this should be your number one focus. Expand Judy Blue. Judy Blue does great on eBay in certain sizes. It says plus sizes 14W to 20W. That's what your data shows. Nike volume strategy, pricing optimization, um inventory management. So this is just to give you more clarity. Couple other things that I meant to mention is just play around with it. Ask it questions based on whatever is floating around in your mind. So one that came up for me is what are some brands that I should avoid. Can you see the items that I

32listed and how long they took to sell? I don't want to be listing items that took more than nine months to sell. Can you check and give me a list? Let's do that because when it comes to listing on eBay, we obviously want to focus on items that are going to sell fast. For me, that's what we focused on. And I think it's the general consensus that most people that want to be getting into reselling and on eBay, you want to pick up stuff that's going to have a quicker turnaround time. So obviously use this tool to minimize on buying the items that take forever to sell. You know, unless you have a facility in a warehouse to store items for years on

18end, I think most people generally want items that are going to sell within 3 to 6 months and be able to just turn and burn, you know, to be able to just continue to find those items and continue to sell them. So let's see just what it gives us, what it breaks down. Use it to your advantage. It's probably going to take another five to 10 minutes to analyze. We did feed it a year's worth of data according to eBay. And I mean on eBay you could, you know, do the same thing, you know, looking around. I think for a lot of new beginners, it can be a little overwhelming and confusing on where do I go to look at this data or how do I even figure that out? Why not just take all of the resources that eBay gives you, especially if you have a store subscription, um, download it all and then upload it all into like an eBay

04assistant. I think that would be pretty beneficial. Also too, I would recommend downloading this Claude app on your phone and then you could just voice chat with it and that's a lot easier if you're not someone that likes to spend a lot of time in front of the computer and talking to robots. But um you know, we helped a friend um they just bought a property that had a horse arena on it. They don't know anything about horses, you know, but they were really wanting to use that as a a way to make income. So, we just basically created a blueprint on how they can, you know, use that horse arena to then, you know, make some extra income to pay down the mortgage. So, yeah, there's multiple use cases. I know that's a little long of a side note, but you got to think in new

50ways about solving old problems. And you know, one of the biggest issues when it comes to reselling is just figuring out your numbers. You know, knowing your numbers and knowing, you know, what direction you want to take your business in. If you don't know your numbers, it's going to be hard for you to make decisions when you're out at the thrift store, when you're making bulk buys. Like if you don't know what your active cost of goods is and what your best sellers are and your best performers, it's going to be hard for you to succeed. So I really feel like the more and more implementation you can do with AI, you're going to be far ahead of the other resellers that are not implementing these technologies into their workflow. So, you can see here I'm just having it do a quick analysis on

35the brands that I should avoid and not be picking up. You can see I got to nudge it to continue. But it's going to be a great resource for you to, you know, just get better. Just get better as a person. That's really the main point of this channel as well is just to help people get better. There's nothing that I uh have more of a passion to do is just to help people get better. I mean, am I the best I could be? Absolutely not. But from where I was 10 years ago to where we are now, I've just been trying to focus on getting better as a person and then learning new skills and helping those people learn new skills as well. So, this has just been so intriguing to me and I just wanted to share it with everybody. You can see it's still analyzing, still taking a

20long time. Normally, it doesn't take this long. It just depends on like what you're trying to accomplish. This is amazing. So, in just a couple minutes, we have a full analysis in breakdown in text here. Let me move this over here in text. So, if you just wanted to read this or copy paste it into a document, but also I had it build out a complete kind of visual guide so we know what's going on. So, let's see here. I love it. I love it. And you can download this and copy it, but brands and items to avoid based on my eBay sales and performance data. Low profit and high negative rate items. Okay, your current sales data doesn't include listing duration information. So, I can't identify the items that took more

05than 9 months to sell. However, I can't identify brands item types with cons consistently poor profit performance you should avoid. So, that's just because we were really quick to upload the data. I'm sure somewhere in here you can download your listing data as well. Um, solds, unsolds. Um, eBay makes it pretty easy for you to do that. So, I would just double check under your listings page to download your active, your sold, and you can just feed that into the knowledge base as well. So, you can see Chaps, obviously a terrible brand. What was I doing picking that up? Five items sold. Dickies, uh, 21 items sold. IsizOD, 12 items sold. Old Navy, Gap, obviously terrible. Be selective with

50these brands. Wrangler, Lee, Carheart, Colia. Carheart's not as good as you think unless it's a vintage jacket, right? Um, didn't fill out the graph. Items, item types and categories to avoid. Basic dress shirts and polos, oversaturated market, mid-tier brands, work pants and khakis, generic sweaters, department store brands, craft and borrow, Sonoma, St. John's Bay, basic vintage items. Price points to avoid items under $15 retail. Holy, that would be terrible. items with high shipping. What it means for your sourcing, avoid these brands. Gap, Old Navy, Target. Um, I think that's just good rule of thumb for a lot of beginners to start out with. But lots of good stuff. Um, play

38around with it. That's all I say is just play around with it and use it to just become a better reseller because that's what I'm doing and it's been really helpful. That's all to give you an extra pair of eyes to help analyze all the data that is available to you. So, go into your listings quality report, go into your data, download it as a CSV, upload that in, especially when you're just getting started out and have it just do a breakdown of an analysis on your business. What is it going to hurt other than just spending a few minutes of your time? So, I wanted to bring this to you because I've been using it a lot. I've been getting a lot of questions in our group and on Instagram. And I just wanted to make it publicly available out there, walking you through the step-by-step process. I think that's what we're going to be focusing on a lot

23on this channel, kind of the things that I'm learning and doing behind the scenes to share with you to help you grow your business. Comments, questions down below. And I'd love to see you, you know, succeed in in using these tools that are available to us to help you better entrepreneurs. I hope you guys have a blessed rest of the day. We'll see you in the next one. Byebye.
