0:0016,000 people just got laid off at Meta and we need to talk about how this affects you and me because it affects every single one of you watching this. Meta was planning to lay off over 16,000 people and that's 20% of their entire company. The reason why is going to make you think really hard about where you stand right now in this AI space. Reuters just broke this story exclusively today and Meta is cutting at 20% of their workforce to basically pay for AI infrastructure. Yay! So, let me say that again. They're firing humans to pay for the machines that will replace more humans. And if that doesn't wake you up, I really don't know what will. We've seen this happen with Block
0:45earlier last week, Jack Dorsey's company. We saw it happen with Amazon in January, 35,000 employees let go. Now with this Meta story breaking of 20% of their workforce getting fired and replaced by AI, it's a snowball effect. It's going to keep happening. So, how does this even pertain to you and I and how it affects us going forward? I want to back up and break down what is actually happening here and I think that this is one of the biggest stories in tech right now. Meta has been spending billions on AI, billions with a B. They just bought Multibook for whatever reason where it's a social media site for AI agents to interact with each other. They are building data centers, GPU clusters, training runs on all of the and at some point somebody in a
1:32boardroom looked at the numbers and said we can't keep paying for all these people and all this infrastructure is coming up costly. Something has to give and what gave was 16,000 jobs. Here's the thing that's hitting home and that really gets me is this isn't some small startup making tough decisions. This is Meta, one of the biggest companies in the world and if they can't afford to keep humans and AI at the same time, what do you think is going to happen to the smaller companies with more overhead? So, let me talk about some of the numbers because I think the data tells the whole story much better than I can. Here it is. 64% of organizations are now actively deploying AI agents. This isn't experimenting anymore. That's
2:17not pilot programs. That's deploying in production right now, today. And here's what no one is going to tell you about this is the companies that are deploying the AI agents aren't adding head count. They're replacing it. Amazon did the same thing back in January. They made the engineers actually document their work for eight months straight. They fed it back to AI and then they fired them. Yay! We covered that in a story a few weeks ago on the channel and it was kind of depressing talking about it because actual humans are getting replaced, but this is real. This is the facts and I'm not sugarcoating it. Real quick, before we keep going, if you're watching this and you want to actually build with some of these tools, not just watch videos about them, then you're going to want to check out our community down below, Shipping School. We have a full Cloud
3:03Code course, a full Open Claw course, and four live bootcamps every single week where we actually help you get set up from scratch. Like actually set this thing up, not just watch a tutorial and figure it out by yourself. And we also provide one-on-one coaching so you can book a call with me. We can share screens and I can help you get Cloud Code or Open Claw running on your machine. That's it. No fluff. I built this community because watching YouTube's only gets you so far. We launched it just three days ago and we have over 55 members. You need people around you who are actually building, people who hold you accountable, and coaches who can help you when you get stuck. I'll put the link in the description down below. Get in now before the price goes up. So, where does this leave you and I? Because I think
3:49there are two paths going forward and you need to pick one. Path one is you sit there and you wait for your company to decide whether AI can replace you at your job, and I'm going to be real with you because for a lot of people, it basically can at this point. The models are so good, and the trajectory is clear. They're getting better. The models are getting better. They're getting smarter. They're getting cheaper to run. The second path is you becoming the person that uses AI to do all the work of 10 people. Instead of being replaced with AI, you replace yourself with AI and keep the value. And that's exactly what I've been doing myself. Let me talk to you about what I mean. Right here on my desk, right behind me, I have Mac Mini running my entire content pipeline, as well as managing the
4:34numbers in our seven-figure resale business. One machine, on this machine, it does it all. It runs 12 AI agents that automate my entire content business. I have an agent called Ghostface that gather gathers the intel every morning at 5:00 a.m. And then the Rizza handles all the content stuff, the Jizza handles the newsletters, You Gotta handles the media like thumbnails. That's the full content team running for less than $200 a month. And it just runs on one machine. You don't even need a Mac Mini to run it. And the cost is definitely less than one person's salary, especially at one of these major companies. I'm not saying this to brag or anything. I'm just saying that because of this model, and I'm using Opus 4.6, it opens up the possibilities to do the same on your end. This is
5:20where the things are going. This is what people are implementing. Can you imagine being a content manager at a marketing firm that handles the content and they get paid 120,000 a year? Why would they pay that if they could just build out something similar like I'm building on a smaller scale for their own business? You got to sit there and think for a minute. This is where the future is headed. This is where things are going. Meta is spending billions to build AI that replaces people and human workers, and I'm spending a fraction of that to build AI that works for me. Big difference. And the results do speak for themselves. We've published 35 videos in just 3 days. Shipping School has grown to 71 members in 7 days, and our YouTube channel has over 350,000 views in those
6:057 days. All of this managed by AI agents I built myself. I have the content creation machine linked down below if you're wanting to automate content by yourself. You get everything that I have in my content system. All you do is click the download button, and then you unpack it in your open claw, and you have a 24/7 content engine built in your voice and in your niche. Check it out. The link is below. So, basically, here's what fires me up all about this is that our Shipping School members are doing the same thing. We just got off a call about an hour ago. Everyone shared what they were building, and this just fires me up. Non-technical people applying what they're learning with AI, and they're building real businesses. For example, Faheem has a food trailer business in Atlanta. He built the
6:51landing pages that sold out events at $3,000 a night, and the food is amazing, by the way. Who doesn't like birria tacos? I mean, come on now. Who am I talking to? And he used AI to build this all out. Colin in the UK built a Chrome extension and got approved on the Chrome Web Store. Dustin is automating a real estate title research program that used to take him hours. These aren't people with computer science degrees, by the way. These are just regular people who decided to learn how to use AI as a tool instead of waiting to be replaced by it. And think that's the real reason from this Meta story that I get back and wonder about. Um the question isn't whether AI is going to change the job market because it's already happening. 16,000 people at Meta just found out, and that was probably hard to find out,
7:37especially if it came from a post on Twitter. The question is really which side of that change that's happening right now are you going to be on? Path one or path two? You got to make a decision. Doing nothing at this point is not an option. Secure your future, figure out how to use these skills and apply them. Are you going to be the person that gets a calendar invite for a meeting called workforce restructuring? Yay! Or are you going to be the person who already has AI agents running your entire business? I know that sounds dramatic, but if you look at what's happening in the world and you look at the data, Amazon literally just fired 35,000 engineers this year. Meta is cutting 16,000 people, which is 20% of their workforce, and we're only in March. This is accelerating. I don't want you to panic. I never want to bring fear to this channel. I'm just trying to
8:22give you a heads-up as to what is actually happening. And I do want you to take action, which is kind of the whole point. Watching this video is great, but I'm trying to encourage you to use these tools for your own good, because the window to get ahead of this opportunity is closing. It doesn't stay open forever. Two years from now, everyone will know how to use AI agents. The advantage goes to the people who learn it now. That's why we built a community around this. That's why I post five of these videos every single day, because I genuinely believe that the people who learn to build with AI right now are going to be in incredible position two years from now. And the people who wait are going to wish they had picked up some skills and learn them. I mean, I was in the same position. A year ago, I was looking on the sideline. I was like,
9:07"Oh man, I can't wait to build a product. Oh, but I don't know how to use Claude code. Oh, I don't even know what TypeScript is." But I'm so glad I spent the time learning and breaking things to be able to build the skills up. So, if you're watching this right now and you feel that fire in your gut and this is firing you up, that's a sign. Don't ignore it. Don't wait till your company makes the decision to let you go. I want you to be equipped with skills on how to build your idea out. Now more than ever is the best time to take your idea that you thought of for years and actually build a product around it. That's what we have the community. I'll put that link down below. Again, 72 members in just 7 days. We do four boot camp calls a week with a fifth one on the way and the whole goal is tailored for people
9:52that are non-technical to learn these AI skills to be able to apply them to their business and to their personal life. I love and have a passion for working with people on how to learn new skills quickly as possible and the more important part, you get paid learning those skills. You make money with those skills and that's why I value the community so much. If you guys have any questions or comments, leave them down below. What do you think about Meta laying off these people? Do you think it's just part of the program, part of what's going on or do you really think you're going to see more of this happening? I think it's a glimpse into the future. Let's prepare yourself by learning some new skills. We'll see you in about an hour when the next video drops. Have a blessed hour. We'll see you in the next one.
